Manila, Filipina – Mahasiswa Program Doktor Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (S3 PKn) Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), Muhammad Fikri Alvinca, memperoleh kesempatan menjadi narasumber dalam kegiatan Guest Lecture di Philippine Normal University (PNU), Manila, Filipina, yang diselenggarakan pada 25 Juli hingga 2 Agustus 2026. Kegiatan akademik ini merupakan bagian dari upaya memperkuat kolaborasi internasional sekaligus mendorong pertukaran pengetahuan dalam bidang pendidikan kewarganegaraan di era digital.

Yogyakarta - The Department of Civic Education at Yogyakarta State University held a Welcome Ceremony in the context of international cooperation between the Department of Civic Education at UNY and PNU together with a delegation from the Philippines on Wednesday, 28 January 2026. This event took place in the Ki Hajar Dewantara Room at FISIP UNY. The event was attended by two lecturers and seven students from the Philippines as part of an academic collaboration and cultural exchange programme.

Doctoral students in Civic Education at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) have successfully published a book entitled Schools of Thought on Citizenship: Based on Philosophy, Theory, and Practice, edited by Prof. Dr. Suyato, M.Pd. This book explores various perspectives on citizenship, from philosophical viewpoints to their application in national and state life, making a significant contribution to academic research on citizenship in Indonesia.

Yogyakarta – Prof. Dr. Drs. Suyato, M.Pd., a leading academic in the field of Curriculum and Civic Education (PPKn), has completed 31 years of service at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) on 1 March 2025. His long journey as an educator and researcher has resulted in various innovations in PPKn teaching and shaped a generation of young people with strong character. The pinnacle of his dedication was achieved on 1 December 2024, when he was officially inaugurated as a Professor, marking the highest achievement in his academic career.
